Welcome
Korean American Lawyers Association of the Delaware Valley ("KALA") was founded in April of 1999 in the aftermath of the 1st Annual N-400 Citizenship Project held at the Philip Jaisohn Memorial Center. A small group of Korean American attorneys came together to form the KALA in recognition of the need and the desire to provide pro bono services in the interest of the Korean American community residing in the Delaware Valley.
Since its initial formation, KALA has conducted the annual N-400 Citizenship Project, Voter Registration Project, CHIP Health Insurance Application Project and Used Clothing Drive for the indigent. KALA has also translated, published and distributed the entire Pennsylvania Drivers Manual into the Korean language and obtained permission from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to provide Korean language interpreters for the Pennsylvania Driver's License Examination. The Korean language Pennsylvania Drivers Manual can also be accessed by an official link on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's website.
